Privacy Policy

The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission. Exceptions include:

  • Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, for which I am required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.

  • If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s, I must notify the police and inform the intended victim.

  • If a client intends to harm himself or herself, I will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, I will take further measures without their permission that are provided to me by law in order to ensure their safety.

Cancellation Policy

We prioritize our clients by holding space for each person we see. When clients cancel an appointment, our therapists offer that space to other clients who need an appointment that week. When clients cancel within 24 hours or are a no-show, other clients miss out on an opportunity to be seen by a therapist. Our cancellation policy requires we are notified of all non-emergency cancellations at least 24 hours in advance. If you want to cancel an appointment, we ask that you do so with the office with at least 24-hour notice. A cancellation fee of $75 is charged for missed appointments or no-show cancellations with less than 24-hour notice. Insurance does not cover the cost of a missed appointment. We will charge the credit card on file for no-shows and cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled session.

Our Rates & Accepted Insurance

Our fees range between $110-$150 per 50-minute session. We are currently in network with Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Florida Blue, Kaiser-Mid-Atlantic, Oscar Health, United Health Care. We accept Medicaid and Medicare. In the event that we are not in network with your current insurance you may receive full or partial reimbursement for services you have paid out of pocket. We can provide a “Super Bill” for those looking to use out-of-network benefits. Please get in touch with your insurance provider for more information. My Tribe seeks to remove barriers to treatment and offers a sliding fee scale to those who see the value in therapy but have financial challenges.

The “No Surprises Act”

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, healthcare providers must give patients who don’t have insurance or are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes expenses like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. 

Ensure your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. 

If you receive a bill of at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
